GOD’S SIMPLE PLAN OF SALVATION

1. Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
In the eyes of God, every single wrong deed is called sin. Thus every man, woman, teenager, and child who has ever done anything wrong is a sinner in the sight of God. We all have come short of God’s glory or His sinless perfection.

2. Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The word “wages” means payment. God said that the payment of sin is death; actually it means both physical and spiritual death. Spiritual death is separation from God when we die -- in other words it means Hell. God said that we have to pay for our sins somehow but God also said that He has given us a gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. This is the free gift of salvation.

3. Romans 5:8: “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
God loves us so much that He gave His only Begotten Son to die on the cross for the sins of all man kind. In other words, Jesus Christ took our place on the cross. He died so that we might have eternal life or a home in Heaven.

4. Romans 10:13: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Here is the simple plan of salvation:
A.  We must first understand that we are sinners in the sight of God.
B.  The payment or wages of sin is spiritual death or separation from God in Hell.
C.  Jesus Christ paid the debt for our sins by dying for us on the cross.
D.  In order to receive this free gift all we must do is confess we are a sinner and ask Jesus to save us and come into our hearts.

Right now you can become a child of God by receiving Christ as your own Lord and Savior. If you have trusted Christ as your Savior today or you want more information about this matter, please contact us at the church at 540-890-2105 or email our church at pastor@chamblissburgbaptist.org
